Rawcous Kitchen is a plant-based café in Bookham. We are open as a cafe Thursday and Friday, 11am to 2.30pm, serving delicious whole food, plant-based, chef made bowls, pizzas and treats for lunch or to take away for dinner. We are also open for pizza collection (casual eat in) on various Sundays, please check our socials or the opening hours below. For take away collection please call 01372 650993 to place your order.

Our cafe is also available for private events, whether a party or family and friends get together. We can also come to you and cater a private event – please ask us for more information.

We believe in a well-rounded and sustainable approach to food and nutrition. There is more evidence than ever of the power of plants and eating a rainbow of plant based foods packed with nutrients, fibre, phytochemicals and antioxidants.

Our Story

Welcome To Rawcous Kitchen

Mark started Rawcous Kitchen in 2021 to bring delicious plant-based whole food to people, celebrating the diversity and flavours of whole plant-based foods.

Mark’s vision is to encourage more people to eat plant-based and healthy food, without compromising on taste.

Since moving to a vegan diet in 2016, he then retrained as a Natural Vegan chef (Diploma via College of Naturopathic Medicine) and loves cooking plant-based foods for his family, customers, private events and regular themed supper clubs.

We are always striving to be less wasteful and more sustainable, using whole foods with pronounceable names, using biodegradable packaging, composting our food waste (or utilising to make our own stocks and sauces) and developing strong relationships with local suppliers where possible. We try to use organic produce and those on the clean 15 list (low pesticide produce).

We hope you enjoy our honest, healthy and delicious options either in our relaxing cafe or as a takeaway.

THE MENU

At Rawcous Kitchen we use fresh, seasonal and high quality produce, making as much as possible from scratch.

FRESH JUICES Our juices are cold pressed, raw and unpasteurised.  

Please ask what is available, some examples are:

Immune Boost – Carrot, turmeric, ginger, orange, pineapple, lemon and black pepper £6

Sweet Beets – Apple, beetroot, carrot, orange and lemon £6

LUNCH from 11.30 – 2.30

Soup – House-made soup (celery) with sourdough garlic bread (gluten) from  £7

Please ask for today’s soup.

PIZZA (plant based & Vegan) – 6 inch (approx) sourdough base (gluten)

Margherita – Tomato sauce, cheese, fresh basil, EVOO (gluten) – £6

Mushroom – Tomato sauce, cheese, mushrooms, olives, basil, truffle olive oil (gluten)- £7

Greek – Tomato sauce, feta, roasted peppers, cherry toms, aubergine,  red onion, olives, basil and finished with a balsamic glaze (glaze contains sulphites, gluten) – £8

Royal  – Tomato sauce, cheese, moving mountain burger pieces, peppers, basil, chilli olive oil (soya, gluten) – £8

Pumpkin Pesto’d – Tomato sauce, cheese, mushrooms, red onion, olives, pumpkin seed pesto, basil, EVOO(gluten) – £8

CRUST DIPPERS – choose from:

Garlic herb and chive mayo OR sriracha mayo (both contain mustard) each £1.50

Pumpkin seed pesto (nut and dairy free) £2

Buddha Bowl – A bowl of goodness. Organic brown rice with organic shredded tofu, sliced avocado, edamame beans and an Asian flavoured organic sweet potato, organic carrot, organic cabbage and coriander slaw. Topped with sriracha sauce (optional), sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds and crispy shallots. Served as a cold bowl. (sesame, soya, gluten. Gluten Free without the shallots) – £13
